The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) is set to announce the launch of a newly developed national ID card, designed according to the latest technologies and international standards.
This initiative is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the ID card system and improve government processes.
Citizens and residents who plan to renew their ID cards soon are advised to wait until their current card expires, provided there are no urgent circumstances requiring immediate renewal.
The enhanced ID card will feature advanced security measures, expanded digital transaction capabilities and biometric attributes, marking a significant step forward in ID card services by increasing its capacity, quality and efficiency.
