His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, yesterday met the newly-appointed Commander of the UK Maritime Component Command ME Commodore Ben Aldous, at Riffa Palace.
He affirmed the strength of the historic relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, emphasising the mutual commitment to enhancing co-operation and joint co-ordination across all fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors.
HRH Prince Salman noted the importance of strengthening the partnership to create new opportunities for development and growth, benefiting both kingdoms.
He affirmed the vital role of the United Kingdom, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding regional peace and security.
During the meeting, the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest were discussed.
Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
