His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council at Safriya Palace.
Shaikh Abdulla conveyed the greetings of UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with their best wishes for Bahrain and its people for continued progress and prosperity under the King’s leadership.
The King relayed his greetings to the UAE President and the Vice President, and wished the people of the UAE further progress and prosperity.
His Majesty emphasised deep-rooted and historical ties between Bahrain and the UAE, highlighting the advanced co-operation and co-ordination across various domains, particularly in the media sector.
He underscored the importance of these mutual visits in strengthening and enhancing media collaboration between the two countries.
The King also commended the UAE’s regional and international standing, commending its developmental and civilisational achievements and its comprehensive progress in all domains under the leadership of the UAE President.
Shaikh Abdulla expressed his appreciation to the King for strengthening the historic relations between the two countries.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, separately received Shaikh at Riffa Palace.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the strength of the Bahrain-UAE partnership, adding that co-operation continues to thrive as a testament to the deep-rooted ties between the two nations, with the support of His Majesty and President Shaikh Mohamed.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of the UAE President and the Vice President, along with their wishes for Bahrain and its citizens to achieve continued growth and prosperity.
In return, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed his greetings to the UAE President as well as to the Vice President, extending his best wishes for the UAE and its citizens’ continued progress and prosperity.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the role of the media sector as a key partner in development, noting its responsibility in promoting transparency, raising community awareness and advancing regional and global peace and security.
Topics of common interest, as well as regional and global developments in the media sector, were also discussed in the meeting.
