Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, participated in the first meeting of the Gulf-European Directors General of Investigation and Criminal Affairs.
The meeting included discussions on key security topics and an exchange of best practices in crime prevention and law enforcement.
The Director General conveyed the greetings of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He noted that this meeting is part of ongoing Gulf security discussions to help security agencies adapt to emerging challenges through strategic planning and scientific methods.
The Director General emphasised the GCC states' commitment to protecting security, stability, and progress amid global challenges. He underscored the need to combat crime and limit its spread to ensure a secure and prosperous future.
The Director General highlighted that the meeting is happening during critical global challenges, placing great responsibility on all participants.
He noted the need for vigilance, readiness, and cooperation to maintain security and stability while protecting core values, economic and cultural achievements, and Arab heritage. He said that crime now crosses borders, growing more complex due to globalisation, technological advances, and artificial intelligence.
