His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited one of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) facilities on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of its establishment.
Senior officials extended their congratulations to His Majesty on this national occasion, expressing appreciation for the continued support and guidance provided to the BDF.
His Majesty expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, for his commitment to supporting the BDF.
He also extended his gratitude to BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa for his dedicated efforts, which have contributed to the continued advancement of the BDF.

The King expressed thanks and appreciation to the personnel of the BDF, who fulfil their duty with honour and dedication inside and outside the kingdom.
He also recognised the contributions of those who played a foundational role in the establishment of the BDF, praising their service and commitment to the kingdom.
Reflecting on Bahrain’s rich history, His Majesty paid tribute to the dedication of those who have safeguarded the nation since the reign of Shaikh Ahmed Al Fateh, the country’s founder. He reaffirmed that the sacrifices of Bahrain’s courageous men in defending the homeland will never be forgotten.
The King emphasised that the BDF has grown into a pillar of national strength, not only fulfilling its noble duty of protecting the country but also making significant contributions to Bahrain’s development.

“These include advanced healthcare services, social initiatives, housing projects and notable sporting achievements that have elevated Bahrain’s name in regional and international competitions.”
Additionally, His Majesty said that BDF personnel have played a key role in organising and supporting international military exhibitions, such as the Bahrain International Airshow, first launched at Sakhir Air Base, a facility established by the BDF.
Furthermore, His Majesty commended the BDF’s close co-operation with other countries in enhancing regional security, as well as safeguarding freedom of navigation, global trade and energy routes, and maintaining stability.
