Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam visited the Ottoman Archives as part of his official visit to Türkiye, following an invitation from Türkiye President Numan Kurtulmuş. Al Musallam highlighted the historical relations between Bahrain and Türkiye, which span more than 50 years, and the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in research studies and the organisation of joint events.
He noted Bahrain’s distinguished research institutions and advanced study centres, which play a vital role in society. He also emphasised that research centres contribute to enhancing cultural dialogue and preserving national heritage, with archival documents playing a key role in safeguarding history and national identity.
The parliamentary delegation reviewed a collection of historical documents and manuscripts during the visit.
