Let me tell you about the most delightful little escape I’ve found in Bahrain: Sedrat Sar.
It’s a farm café, and it’s absolutely perfect for a family outing, especially now that the weather is so gorgeous.
We took our toddler there last weekend, and it was a huge hit. You can enjoy sipping a delicious latte (or a fresh juice if you’re feeling healthy) while your little one is absolutely captivated by the farm animals. Our daughter was in her element!
The goats roamed freely and they were so gentle, happily munching on the handfuls of grass my daughter offered them. She was giggling with delight as she (unsuccessfully!) tried to keep up with the cockerels darting around the farmyard.
The cows were mooing contentedly in the background, adding to the charming atmosphere. Even the geese, though a bit sassy and not overly friendly, provided some entertainment with their honking and waddling.
We even spotted horses grazing peacefully alongside the cows in the field. It’s such a sensory experience for kids – the sights, sounds and smells of a real working farm. And the best part? We left with a dozen fresh, free-range eggs! It felt so good to support a local farm and know exactly where our food was coming from.
If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and relaxing time out with the family, this place is a must-visit.
