An Arab national has been arrested for allegedly selling fake tickets to concerts being held in Bahrain, the Interior Ministry announced yesterday.
The Anti-Cybercrime Department, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, worked with the International Criminal Police Organisation, to locate and arrest the suspect.
The alleged perpetrator has been charged with taking part in ‘fraudulent operations, including the selling of fake tickets for concerts in Bahrain.’
The age and nationality of the suspect were not revealed. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution, the ministry added.
