LuLu Hypermarket in Hyderabad, the capital of the southern Indian state of Telangana, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Bahrain Chamber led by second vice-chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji.
They were accompanied by Bahraini Ambassador Abdulrahman Al Quood and Telangana’s Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageshwara Rao. The focus of the visit was strengthening trade ties between Bahrain and India.
Discussions centred on expanding trade in agricultural products, processed foods, textiles, and other goods. Mr Rao highlighted Telangana’s abundant resources and its potential to become a major player in global trade, emphasising the state’s capacity to supply high-quality products.
Ambassador Al Quood stressed the importance of building bilateral trade partnerships and Bahrain’s desire to capitalise on India’s substantial production capabilities.
Mr Al Kooheji noted the long-standing strong trade relationship between the two nations, adding: “Platforms like LuLu Hypermarket are crucial for connecting local producers with international markets.”
LuLu Hypermarket served as an effective backdrop for the discussions, demonstrating its key role in linking global and local markets. The Bahraini delegation toured the hypermarket, observing its wide range of products, streamlined retail operations, and logistics expertise.
The visit concluded with both sides reaffirming their dedication to boosting trade relations and contributing to the economic prosperity of both Bahrain and India.
