Congenital heart diseases in children will be the focus of an awareness drive being organised by the Royal Medical Services and the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre at Seef Mall, Seef District on Saturday (Feb 15) from 10am to 10pm.
Held as part of the global Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week, the event aims to raise awareness of common birth defects, emphasise early diagnosis, promote healthy lifestyles and highlight treatment plans to support children’s heart health.
The event will feature interactive stations covering congenital heart conditions, symptoms and emergency signs requiring medical attention.
Other stations will offer nursing advice, medical consultations on chest pain and heart defects, CPR training for infants and children, physiotherapy sessions on physical activity and nutritional guidance on balanced diets for children.
