His Majesty King Hamad issued a decree appointing an assistant under-secretary at the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry, based on the proposal of the minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Mariam Juma Khamis Al Fleiti, director of beneficiary service directorate at the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry, will be appointed as assistant under-secretary for housing services at the ministry, replacing Fatima Ibrahim Khalifa Al Mannai.
His Majesty issued another decree transferring a director-general at the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the Cabinet approval. It stipulated that Esmat Jaffar Akbar Ali, general director of the National Qualifications Framework and National Examinations, shall be transferred to serve as deputy chief executive of the BQA.
The Prime Minister shall implement the decree, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
A third decree pertained to the transfer of an under-secretary and an assistant under-secretary at the Education Ministry. Nawal Ibrahim Ahmed Al Khater, under-secretary for policies, strategies and performance, will now serve as under-secretary of the Education Ministry.
Dr Sana Saeed Abdulla Al Haddad, assistant under-secretary for strategies and performance, will serve as assistant under-secretary for educational planning and licensing at the Education Ministry.
The Education Minister shall implement the decree.
His Majesty issued a fourth decree, appointing Maryam Adnan Al Ansari as a member of the board of directors of the SIO, representing the government as an employer. She will replace Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi and her membership shall continue until the end of the current board’s term.
The Prime Minister and ministers, each within their capacity, shall implement the decree, which takes effect from the date of its issuance.
The King issued a decree, appointing an assistant under-secretary at the Social Development Ministry, following the approval of the Cabinet.
Mahmood Abdulwahed Matrook, director of the competitiveness enhancement directorate at the Finance and National Economy Ministry, will serve as assistant under-secretary for welfare and social rehabilitation, replacing Zainab Salman Al Owainati.
Meanwhile, His Majesty issued a law, ratifying the agreement between the Government of Bahrain and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China for the promotion and protection of investments, following its approval by the Shura Council and Parliament. The agreement was signed in Manama on March 3, 2024.
The Prime Minister and ministers, each within their capacities, will implement the provisions of the law, which will take effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
