A TOTAL of 3,039 individuals have been arrested between July 31, 2024 and February 11, 2025 for violating residency laws of Bahrain.
This came as part of law enforcement campaigns to arrest violators and to ensure the maintenance of security and the protection of public safety, said a statement from the CID at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Evidence yesterday.
Among those arrested were suspects involved in various crimes including illegal sale of alcohol and possession of drugs. Legal measures have been taken against these people.
The directorate reaffirmed its commitment to combating violations and called on the public to co-operate by reporting any illegal activities on 999.
