ISA Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated the Al Fateh Sports Hall yesterday at the United Kingdom Naval Support Facility at the Salman Naval Base.
Shaikh Isa affirmed the strong co-operation and joint co-ordination between Bahrain and the UK across various fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors. He emphasised that this collaboration reflects the support of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
Upon his arrival, Shaikh Isa was received by Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, British Ambassador Alistair Long, Commodore Ben Aldous, Commander of the UK Maritime Component Command ME, and a number of senior officers from the Bahrain Defence Force and members of the British Naval Support Facility.
Shaikh Isa affirmed that Bahrain-UK relations continue to develop across all levels, driven by the distinguished strategic partnership and the mutual commitment of the leaderships of both kingdoms to further strengthen them.
He congratulated those present on the inauguration and wished the facility and all its members success.
He also affirmed the pivotal role of the United Kingdom, alongside its allies, in enhancing security, stability, and peace both in the region and globally.
Shaikh Isa emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral co-operation between the two kingdoms to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
