Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro has underscored the ministry’s commitment to implementing initiatives that enhance the investment climate and improve the competitiveness of Bahraini products, reiterating the government’s support for investors and entrepreneurs.
The minister was addressing a meeting held by the joint economic committee between the Industry and Commerce Ministry and Bahrain Chamber. It was chaired by Mr Fakhro, and Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass.
The minister highlighted the importance of strengthening co-operation between the ministry and the chamber, adding such meetings serve as a platform for exchanging ideas on current economic issues.
He also commended the chamber’s role in supporting and developing the business environment, contributing to sustainable development goals.
Mr Nass emphasised Bahrain Chamber’s commitment to enhancing the business environment and boosting economic competitiveness.
He described the meeting as a key step in strengthening public-private sector co-ordination, reflecting Bahrain’s dedication to developing a flexible and dynamic economy aligned with global developments.
The chamber chairman highlighted that such meetings reinforce effective partnerships between the chamber and the government to create an attractive investment climate that diversifies national income sources and generates high-quality job opportunities for Bahrainis.
“Bahrain Chamber is continuously working to attract investments and address challenges facing entrepreneurs while advancing Bahrain’s competitiveness regionally and internationally.”
He underscored the significance of maintaining such meetings as a platform to streamline procedures, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies that support Bahrain’s position as a thriving trade and investment hub.
The meeting also reviewed items on the agenda and followed up on matters discussed in the previous session.
