Bahraini companies participating in the kingdom’s pavilion at LEAP 2025, held under the theme ‘The Future of Technology,’ have returned with significant achievements, securing partnerships, attracting investment, and forging connections with key players in the global tech industry.
The 14 participating startups, representing diverse tech fields, were supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and organised by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH).
The pavilion proved a hub of activity, drawing visitors, investors, technology leaders, and industry enthusiasts. A key highlight was a workshop organised in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Investment, offering Bahraini businesses valuable insights into expanding into the Saudi market.
Several participating companies announced significant milestones. The Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre signed a memorandum of understanding with leading Saudi digital solutions company ‘Elm’ to collaborate on AI-powered digital services.
In the logistics sector, the Parcel App inked partnership agreements with both the Dash and Torod platforms, aiming to revolutionise delivery and logistics solutions in line with the region’s booming e-commerce landscape.
Makan App also secured a partnership with Property Hub, a prominent property management company, furthering Makan’s vision of leveraging Blockchain technology for streamlined property management.
The Rocket Fuel competition, a highlight of LEAP 2025, provided a platform for startups to pitch innovative ideas to investors and industry leaders. Out of 120 global participants, Bahraini startups Makan and Unipal’successfully closed a Pre-Series A Investment Round with a select group of top investors, demonstrating the strength of Bahraini innovation.
Tamkeen’s support for these companies aligns with its 2025 strategic priorities, which focus on bolstering the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with the necessary skills for career advancement, and prioritising enterprise growth, digitisation, and sustainability.
The organisation also plays a crucial role in developing the broader ecosystem supporting the labour market and private sector in Bahrain.
