Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Khalid Humaidan took part in the 84th meeting of the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee, the 19th board meeting of the Gulf Payments Company, and the 63rd meeting of the board of directors of the Gulf Monetary Council, held in Kuwait.
The governors discussed the mechanism for managing, following up and evaluating current and future initiatives within the framework of the Central Bank Governors Committee and ways to enhance international co-operation in the banking and financial sector.
The meeting addressed strengthening cybersecurity frameworks and the role of central banks in providing the regulatory, legislative and technical environment for advanced payment systems and financial technologies to ensure a balance between innovation and financial stability.
