The 12th edition of the seasonal Bahraini Farmers Market has been extended for two weeks.
Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak announced today that the market at the Budaiya Botanical Garden is set to continue until March 8.
Originally, today would have been the last day, but following public demand the decision for extension was taken.
Thirty-three local farmers are participating in the market alongside a number of agricultural firms, nurseries and apiaries.
The event also features handicraft sales, educational and recreational activities for children, restaurants and cafes.
The weekly event, is organised by the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry, in partnership with the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) and stc Bahrain.
