His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has said that the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment serves as a platform for developing creativity and innovation in youth development.
He emphasised Bahrain’s commitment, under the directives of the King, to supporting global youth empowerment.
Marking the launch of the award’s fifth edition, Shaikh Nasser yesterday highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to enhancing youth participation in achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and creating new opportunities for innovation.
He noted that young people worldwide have demonstrated their ability to drive positive change through pioneering initiatives that contribute to development goals and sustainability at both local and international levels.
Shaikh Nasser emphasised that the award goes beyond recognising achievements, serving as a gateway to broader opportunities by providing young people with the resources needed to transform ideas into impactful projects.
These projects offer new perspectives and sustainable solutions, he said.
He highlighted the award’s success over its four previous editions, reflecting Bahrain’s vision of supporting and empowering youth.
These accomplishments serve as a foundation for further progress in advancing youth-led development, Shaikh Nasser stressed.
He encouraged young innovators and institutions committed to youth empowerment to participate in this edition. Shaikh Nasser also invited them to present ideas and projects that embody excellence, reflect the spirit of innovation, and contribute to building a more sustainable future.
