THE growing historic relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are rooted in shared values and a common destiny, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has said.
He wished Saudi Arabia continued progress and prosperity when he attended a reception hosted by the Saudi Embassy marking Saudi Founding Day.
He attended the event on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Upon arrival, accompanied by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid was received by Saudi Ambassador Nayef bin Bandar Al Sudairi.
Shaikh Khalid conveyed the congratulations of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the people of Saudi Arabia.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted that Bahrain’s celebration of Saudi Founding Day reflects the deep-rooted historical ties established by past generations, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the advancement in strategic co-operation and integration between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, attributing it to the efforts of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia to serve the aspirations of both countries and their people.
The Deputy Premier also noted that the founding of Saudi Arabia by Imam Mohammed bin Saud and its unification by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud laid the foundations for stability in the Arabian Peninsula, making Saudi Arabia a key regional and global player in supporting Islamic causes and safeguarding sacred sites.
Shaikh Khalid commended Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for Bahrain, rooted in shared values and a common destiny, wishing the kingdom continued progress and prosperity under its leadership.
