The Knights of Rizal (KOR) Bahrain Chapter has launched a new programme aimed at delivering better educational opportunities and learning resources to students in the Philippines. This was recently announced during a ceremony at the Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa, Seef, which was attended by Philippine Embassy Consul Bryan Baguio and other leaders from Bahrain’s Filipino community groups.
The Palaui Integrated School in San Vicente, Philippines, will receive solar panels, desktop computers, laptops, printers, televisions and educational materials as part of the programme. KOR is an order of chivalry of the Philippines, created to honour and uphold the ideals of the southeast Asian country‘s ‘national hero’ José Rizal, an activist best known for his writings that inspired a revolution.
