His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued a directive for the inauguration, restoration and development of 40 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Jaffari Endowments, located across the kingdom’s governorates, as part of a development plan for mosques.
He ordered the allocation of the necessary budget for the development plan, ensuring the adoption of modern and Islamic designs in the rebuilding and enhancement of the mosques.
HRH Prince Salman also directed the Justice and Islamic Affairs Ministry, in co-ordination with the authorities concerned, to allocate sites and expedite the design, construction, restoration and refurbishment of the mosques.
