In accordance with the directive issued by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan 1446H, Shaikh Duaij bin Salman bin Duaij Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), announced that official working hours will be from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm for employees following the standard work schedule. This adjustment reduces the weekly working hours by one-sixth, from 36 to 30 hours per week.
Shaikh Duaij bin Salman further noted that employees working under extended hours will have their weekly hours reduced from 40 to 33.5 hours. Their working hours will be from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm from Sunday to Wednesday and from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on Thursdays.
Similarly, work schedules approved by CSB for specific government entities will also be reduced proportionally. The authorities within these entities will determine the official working hours based on operational requirements, in line with the regulations set by the Civil Service systems. This applies to employees in government entities governed by their own employment regulations.
Regarding flexible working hours, the President clarified that flexibility will be limited to a maximum of three hours per day.
The same regulation applies to employees with different work cycles, such as those working from Saturday to Thursday, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
The aim of these adjustments is to enhance productivity, create a comfortable work environment, and accommodate employees during Ramadan.
