His Majesty King Hamad has emphasised that Bahraini citizens remain the main focus and objective of all development plans and initiatives.
The King was speaking as he received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with Cabinet ministers last night at Sakhir Palace.
He commended the achievements of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in advancing Bahrain’s development across various sectors and enhancing its regional and international standing. His Majesty also commended the ministers for their efforts to serve the kingdom.
They extended greetings to His Majesty on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing further prosperity for Bahrain under the King’s leadership.
His Majesty thanked them for their kind sentiments and extended his best Ramadan wishes.
His Majesty also hosted an Iftar banquet – attended by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and senior Royal Family members – at Rawdha Palace last night to mark the beginning of the holy month.
His Majesty emphasised the values of worship, compassion and unity during the holy month.
His Majesty, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa; Deputy Interior Minister Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, National Intelligence Agency (NIA) president Brigadier General Bassam Mohammed Khamis Al Maraj, and Strategic Security Bureau chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, along with senior officers from the BDF, National Guard, and Interior Ministry, at Sakhir Palace.
The King expressed pride in the dedication and efforts of all security personnel. He commended their unwavering commitment to safeguarding national unity, enforcing the law, and protecting Bahrain’s achievements and development.
He praised the strong co-ordination between the BDF and security agencies. He expressed confidence that Bahrain will continue to thrive as a secure and resilient nation, with the spirit of unity binding its people as one cohesive family.
His Majesty received Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, and Supreme Judicial Council deputy chairman and Court of Cassation president Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, at Sakhir Palace.
He commended the legislative authority’s role in supporting the advancement of the kingdom’s development and addressing citizens’ aspirations. He also praised its efforts in showcasing Bahrain’s achievements across various domains.
The King highlighted the judiciary’s role in upholding justice, safeguarding rights and freedoms, and enhancing the security and stability of society.
He emphasised the importance of continued co-operation between the executive and legislative authorities to advance the kingdom’s progress.
His Majesty also met Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Sunni Endowments Council chairman Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, and Jaffari Endowments Council chairman Yousef Saleh Al Saleh, at Sakhir Palace.
The King commended the SCIA for its role in promoting Islam’s values of moderation, tolerance and compassion. He highlighted its efforts in fostering interfaith and intercultural dialogue for peace and co-operation.
He also commended the Endowments Councils for their work in overseeing places of worship, training religious leaders, and promoting messages of unity and national cohesion.
