His Majesty King Hamad, the current President of the Arab Summit, and Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, co-chaired the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the summit level (Palestine Summit) today in Cairo's Administrative Capital. The summit was attended by Their Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses Kings, Princes, and Presidents of Arab states.
His Majesty delivered the following keynote address:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

Your Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,
Your Excellency, Secretary-General of the Arab League,
Your Excellency, Secretary-General of the United Nations,
Distinguished Guests,
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings,
At the outset, I am pleased to congratulate you on the blessed month of Ramadan. May Allah return it to our Arab and Islamic nations with blessings and prosperity. We pray to the Almighty, in these blessed days, to guide us in elevating the word of the nation, unifying its ranks, and protecting its values that call for moderation and balance, for the sake of societies where affection and peace prevail.
On this occasion, I am delighted to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, dear brother, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for his exceptional efforts in hosting and convening this emergency summit, and for the warm reception.
I am also pleased, on behalf of everyone, to welcome His Excellency Ahmed Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, wishing their efforts every success for the advancement and prosperity of their countries.
Reaffirming what was has been established at the Bahrain Summit, we are confident that adherence to the path of lasting and comprehensive peace is the guaranteeing framework for the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate historical rights to self-determination and the establishment of their independent national state, based on the two-state solution, as emphasised by the Arab Peace Initiative and all subsequent historical international resolutions and Arab plans. We also support the decisions that will be issued by this meeting in the interest of the Palestinian people, and we empahsise our rejection of any attempts at displacement and settlement.
In this context, we commend the initiative of Egypt presented to the summit regarding the Gaza Strip. We call for supporting this plan, which contributes to strengthening our fraternal ties, protecting our national security, and enhancing our collective ability to face the challenges to our common interests, while preserving our developmental achievements and means of progress and prosperity.
In conclusion, we reiterate our thanks to His Excellency, dear brother President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for assuming the responsibility of presiding over this summit. We ask Almighty Allah to grant him success and assistance in performing this task, with our wishes that the summit's outcomes will achieve success. Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings."
