Bahrain’s hospitality and tourism sector has been showcased at the International Tourism Berlin Exhibition (ITB Berlin), which opened this week in the German capital and concludes today.
It is considered one of the largest exhibitions specialised in the travel sector in the world, bringing together a group of decision-makers and experts in the tourism industry, as well as investors from numerous countries, to Berlin ExpoCentre City.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has been participating in the event with a dedicated pavilion featuring the kingdom’s traditional and cultural offerings.

The dedicated stand has included 14 entities from national tourism companies and hospitality institutions, with the aim of promoting major events such as the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix to be held next month, and attracting more tourists by highlighting the modern infrastructure and attractions that makes Bahrain an ideal destination for holidays and investment.
“The International Tourism Berlin Exhibition is an important platform for exchanging experiences, building strategic partnerships with international companies, and introducing the tourism experiences offered by Bahrain, which meet the aspirations of international tourists looking for a rich and diverse tourism experience,” said BTEA Projects and Resources deputy chief executive Dana Al Saad.
She stressed the participation comes within the framework of the BTEA’s strategy to enhance Bahrain’s presence in global tourism markets, noting that Germany remains one of the main European target markets within the nation’s current tourism strategy.
Ms Al Saad added that the exhibition was also an opportunity to explore the latest trends in the sector, especially in light of the rapid digital transformations taking place in the industry, noting that Bahrain seeks to adopt international best practices to boost its tourism attractiveness.
ITB Berlin has been a leading platform for the global travel and tourism industry since 1966.
