With reference to our correspondence regarding the removal of the ‘quick quiz’ which has been taken up by a larger recipe during Ramadan.
My memory tells me that this is the first time that it has happened, anyway, looking forward to it coming back.
I appreciate Shannon Crocket’s quiz in Gulf Weekly every Thursday but a week is a long time!

In response to reader Philip’s letter about the disappearance of the ‘quick quiz’ in the GDN, I too was annoyed to find this element missing from my favourite newspaper.
I would also encourage the Editor to bring back the Bygone Bahrain feature. As a Scottish lass who married a Bahraini more than 35 years ago, I love to reminisce about the old Bahrain, the faces, places that are no longer with us, of have changed dramatically (I put myself in the latter category!). Bring back the black and white images from your archives, I love them and I’m sure everyone will enjoy the nostalgic trip.
I was at the British Club recently and watched the GDN sideshow marking the club’s 90th anniversary on the big screen. I bet you could tour the kingdom with similar slides.
