His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, yesterday hosted a Ramadan Iftar banquet for senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, HRH Prince Salman was received by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Royal Guard Special Force Commander Staff Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Isa Bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa were in attendance.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was also welcomed by Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff Lt Gen Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi and other senior BDF officers.
He affirmed the BDF’s ongoing progress in combat readiness and contributions to the kingdom’s development, attributing these achievements to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
He expressed his pride in BDF personnel’s vital role in fulfilling their national duty to safeguard the kingdom.
HRH Prince Salman also acknowledged the many sacrifices made alongside the armed forces of allied countries, noting that these contributions will remain embedded in history.
HRH Prince Salman exchanged Ramadan wishes with the BDF Commander-in-Chief and senior officers, expressing hopes for continued security and prosperity for the kingdom, the Arab world and Islamic nations.
