An urgent proposal calling for a nationwide school holiday during the last 10 days of the holy month was unanimously approved by MPs yesterday.
Parliament has urged the government to formally implement the extended school holiday across all educational levels, ensuring that students can fully embrace the spiritual essence of Ramadan without academic distractions.
The proposal was spearheaded by five MPs led by Parliament’s foreign affairs, defence and national security committee chairman MP Hassan Bukhammas.
