A colourful event to celebrate one of the biggest Hindu festivals will be held tomorrow at the Shrinathji Shri Krishna Temple in Manama.
Holi, also known as the festival of colours, celebrates the victory of good over evil and also the triumph of devotion, as well as the arrival of spring and the passing of winter.
People, both young and old, are covered with colours, giving them an opportunity to forget all their worries and feel a sense of oneness and brotherhood.
This year’s event will take place from 10am to noon on the temple grounds, with dry powder colours only to be used.
All devotees are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the occasion.
