AN array of cultural events are being held across the kingdom as part of ‘Ramadan in Bahrain’ celebrations.
Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, gathering at the Pearling Path features musical performances, workshops and culinary experiences, until March 20.
The events run from Sunday to Wednesday, 9pm to midnight and Thursday to Saturday, 9pm to 1am, with the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre, Muharraq, serving as the central hub for the activities.
Visitors can look forward to a performance by the Mohammed Bin Faris Band as well as concerts by Jasim Mallalla, Jassim Jawad, Ahmed Salmeen, Mubarak Ali, Mansoor Faisal, Nasser Al Mansoor and Mohammed Aseeri.
There will be workshops on how to make Quran bookmarks, Ramadan-inspired collages, gergaoun bags, crescent moon paintings and Islamic mosaic patterns.
Visitors can also enjoy an array of culinary delights, including popular traditional dishes often consumed during the holy month.
Activities will also extend beyond the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre, with additional cultural activation sites hosting some of Bahrain’s best cafés and restaurants, including Dar Amana, Bait Nasser, and Higher Grounds, among others.
The Haneen Sedra exhibition, which showcases a diverse collection of rare artefacts will be open every day throughout the programme, from 10am to 3pm and 8.30pm to 12.30am.
A farewell event will also be organised on March 28, with families and visitors invited to take part in a walk from Al Ghus House to Fakhro House, between 12.30am and 1.30am. Parking is available near Bin Matar House, Fakhro House and Al Alawi House.
