Beyon Connect has signed an agreement with Solidarity Bahrain for eKey 2.0, positioning Solidarity as the first insurance company in Bahrain to adopt the new national authentication and eKYC system.
Supported by Beyon Connect’s advanced authentication technology, eKey 2.0 enables businesses to greatly enhance their customers’ user experience.
Through this partnership, Solidarity Bahrain will integrate eKey 2.0 into its digital services, enabling customers to securely access their insurance accounts, authenticate transactions, and complete policy applications using 3D facial recognition authentication.
By leveraging advanced biometric security, this initiative will streamline the customer journey, eliminating the need for traditional passwords while strengthening data protection and fraud prevention in insurance transactions.
The signing ceremony took place at Beyon’s Hamala Campus, with the agreement signed by Beyon Connect chief executive Christoper Hild and Solidarity chief executive Jawad Mohammed with the attendance of Beyon Digital Growth chief executive Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Solidarity Group chief executive Ashraf Bseisu.
Commenting, Mr Hild said: “We are delighted to welcome Solidarity as the first insurance company in Bahrain to adopt eKey 2.0. Solidarity joins a number of innovative companies from the finance and telecoms sector to avail of the enhanced eKey service. Solidarity’s leadership in adopting eKey 2.0 highlights the potential for forward-thinking insurance organisations to modernise the way they operate and paves the way for a secure, customer centric approach to insurance.”
Also commenting was Mr Mohammed who said: “We are proud to be the first insurance company in Bahrain to adopt eKey 2.0, and we see this as a pivotal step toward modernizing identity verification in insurance. This collaboration with Beyon Connect aligns with our commitment to digital transformation, ensuring that our customers benefit from faster, safer, and more convenient access to our services while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and regulatory compliance.”
As eKey 2.0 continues to gain traction across banking, finance, telecommunications, and now the insurance sector, its adoption reinforces Bahrain’s position as a leader in digital identity innovation, supporting the kingdom’s vision for a secure, digital-first future.
