THE launch of the First Responder Ambulance Motorcycle Service aims to provide a swift response to emergencies, especially in areas with traffic congestion and narrow streets, according to a top official.
Public Security Chief Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, who visited the National Ambulance Centre to follow up on its operations and preparedness, added that the Interior Ministry was committed to adopting initiatives and ideas that contribute to the development of its work and the quality of services it provides.
Lt Gen Al Hassan hailed the support of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for his support of the National Ambulance project and his dedication to developing services provided to citizens and residents.
He pointed out that the service was a pioneering project that was implemented according to global standards and benefits from international emergency medicine expertise and experiences.
The service was officially launched towards the end of last year and was part of efforts to provide immediate help for people across Bahrain, especially in situations where every second counts.
