Alba has accelerated its digital transformation efforts through Tamkeen’s Open Innovation Programme (OIP), participating in an intensive five-day workshop focused on Industry 4.0 solutions.
The workshop, led by innovation expert and Impactique chief executive Sahar Al Baharna, engaged 10 Alba employees from various departments.
Participants explored opportunities in areas like big data, sustainability, asset reliability, and clean energy using advanced innovation frameworks.
A pitch day concluded the workshop, with a panel of experts from Alba, Tamkeen, and Brinc MENA selecting two promising digital transformation projects for further development.
Tamkeen’s OIP, launched in December 2024 and managed by Brinc MENA, connects established companies with Bahraini startups and SMEs to develop innovative solutions.
Alba, the first Bahraini company to join the programme, aims to implement Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance its operations and contribute to the national economy.
