His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (19) of 2025 amending certain provisions of Edict (44) of 2022 regarding the establishment and formation of the Government Land Investment Committee, as follows:
Article (I)
Clause (a) of Article I of Edict (44) of 2022 shall be replaced with the following:
“A committee shall be established under the name ‘Government Land Investment Committee,’ hereinafter referred to as ‘the Committee,’ and shall be composed of the following:
1. The Under-Secretary for Research and Projects at the Prime Minister’s Office – Chairperson
2. The Assistant Under-Secretary for Resources and Information at the Finance and National Economy Ministry – Deputy Chairperson
3. The Assistant Under-Secretary for Roads at the Works Ministry – Member
4. The director of the Projects Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office – Member
5. The Director of the Public Revenue Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy – Member
6. The Director of the Central Government Procurement Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy – Member
7. The Director of the Plans Implementation Directorate at the Urban Planning and Development Authority – Member
8. The Director of the Central Planning Office – Member
9. The Director of Developer Relations Affairs at the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry – Member
10. The director of the Technical Evaluation Directorate at the Tender Board – Member
11. The executive director of the Joint Investment Opportunities Directorate at the Economic Development Board – Member
12. The director of Government Real Estate Directorate at Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah) – Member”
Article (II)
Article VII of Edict (44) of 2022 shall be replaced with the following:
“The Committee shall submit its reports to the Minister of Finance and National Economy, including updates on the progress of its work.”
Article (III)
The relevant authorities shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall come into effect on the date of its issuance.
