Al Salam Bank has secured the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification for its Sharia Audit Department for a second consecutive time, making it the first Islamic bank in Bahrain to achieve this milestone.
Awarded by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), the certification highlights the bank’s adherence to global quality management standards.
The achievement reflects the department’s commitment to high professional standards and aligns with the bank’s focus on excellence.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification, a globally recognised standard, demonstrates the bank’s commitment to improving operational performance and quality control.
Ehab Ahmed, deputy chief executive for corporate affairs at Al Salam Bank, said the certification underscores the bank’s dedication to best practices, particularly in Sharia Audit, a core component of Islamic banking compliance.
He emphasised the bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance systems and provide transparent, well-governed banking services.
Mr Ahmed credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the Sharia Audit Department and supporting divisions.
