Bahraini youth are a source of pride and a beacon of hope, His Majesty King Hamad has said, emphasising his firm belief that investing in them is a guaranteed success.
He congratulated Bahraini youth on Bahrain Youth Day, and stressed that designating March 25 to observe it in commemoration of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) in 1975 is an assertion of the pioneering role of Bahraini youngsters in driving growth.
His Majesty affirmed that empowering and equipping young people with the necessary skills remains a top national priority.
The King noted that one of the most significant milestones achieved by Bahraini youth this year was their dedicated efforts in overseeing the launch of the ‘Al Munther’ satellite and its successful entry into orbit.
“This achievement reflects the ambitious aspirations of Bahrain’s youth across various fields,” he said in a statement yesterday.
His Majesty praised the strategic programmes adopted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which aim to invest in youth skills and enhance their role in different sectors.
He also commended SCYS’ exceptional efforts, led by his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in devising and implementing successful strategies.
“These efforts have positioned Bahrain as a hub of creativity and excellence at both regional and international levels,” His Majesty affirmed.
The King called upon Bahraini youth to uphold their responsibilities with unwavering dedication and preserve Bahrain’s exemplary model of coexistence and tolerance.
