Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani praised the Cabinet’s approval of the kingdom’s official candidacy to obtain a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council in 2026-2027 to consolidate its international role in serving global issues.
Dr Al Zayani said the move aligns with His Majesty King Hamad’s steadfast approach and the government’s directives under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“It reflects Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships for peace, regional and global prosperity, solidarity and human fraternity,” he added.
