CAIRO - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and SecretaryGeneral of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee Hussein AlSheikh discussed by phone on Wednesday the serious developments in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
The phone conversation came in the aftermath of the Israeli occupation escalation and continued aggression on the Palestinian people, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The Palestinian official kept the Egyptian foreign minister posted on the perilous deterioration
in the West Bank and Gaza as a result of inhumane Israeli occupation practices and nonstop
violations against the Palestinian people, it said.
The Egyptian foreign minister, on his part, expounded on his country's efforts, in collaboration with Qatar, to reach a truce in Gaza, halt Israeli occupation atrocities and to shore up the Gaza ceasefire.
