Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) held a ceremony yesterday, in co-operation with the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, marking Laylat Al Qadr and the conclusion of the 29th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize.
SCIA chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for patronising the event, commending the royal keenness to serve Islam and its values. He also congratulated the winners in the Holy Quran competition on their achievement, wishing them more success.
Shaikh Abdulrahman honoured the Interior Ministry, the Education Ministry, the Social Development Ministry, as well as the judging and organising committees.
