Indian Ambassador Vinod Jacob praised the release of 68 Indian prisoners by His Majesty King Hamad, during an open house session hosted by the embassy in Seef.
The event held yesterday was attended by the embassy’s community welfare and consular team, lawyers, and more than 30 members of the community in the kingdom.
It was conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and Malayalam.
During the event, Mr Jacob said that fees for passport, visa and other consular services have been revised from April 1. Details of the updated fees will be available on eoibahrain.gov.in.
The embassy mentioned that most of the cases raised during the previous open house have been resolved, including that of a cancer patient requiring immediate medical treatment.
Her travel arrangements were made and the embassy expedited the issuance of her son’s passport, which ensured her prompt and smooth departure to obtain the necessary treatment without delay.
