One of the largest insurance companies in the kingdom, Solidarity Bahrain, a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding BSC, recently organised a beach clean-up campaign at Janabiya Beach, in partnership with Nidukki, a local waste management, cleaning and recycling service provider.
As part of Solidarity’s commitment to strengthening environmental awareness, the beach clean-up witnessed the participation of 143 students from Sacred Heart School, reaffirming the company’s focus on driving youth to engage in involuntary initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
This eco-driven initiative comes as part of a series of environmental projects that aim to build community responsibility among various segments in Bahrain.
The initiative recently took place where volunteers learned the importance of reducing the negative effects of pollution through recycling.

In addition to understanding the significance of volunteer work in supporting the community, participants felt a sense of responsibility and were encouraged to take part in similar events in the future.
Through the collective actions, a remarkable 745kg of waste was collected, highlighting the impact of the event in addressing the issue of marine pollution.
Commenting on the occasion, Solidarity Bahrain acting assistant general manager for corporate support Husain Sabt highlighted the importance of community partnerships in achieving a positive, sustainable impact.

Mr Sabt
He emphasised that collaborations with various entities and educational institutes enable the success of such initiatives.
He also noted that these campaigns contribute to creating a generation aware of the world’s climate challenges, in line with the company’s vision to empower youth and equip them with the skills and values needed to be active members of society.
This initiative falls under Solidarity Bahrain’s joint partnership with Nidukki which seeks to spread awareness on environmental conservation and promote Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.
Through their collaboration, the two parties will host regular beach clean-ups in Bahrain, with the participation of public and private sector entities, and members of the local community.
