• Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton is the most successful driver in the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix with five victories to his name. All of those wins came with Mercedes in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
• Three other current drivers have won the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Two-time former world champion Fernando Alonso has three wins – in 2005 and 2006 with Renault and in 2010 with Ferrari; Red Bull Racing’s reigning four-time world champion Max Verstappen has two wins, in 2023 and 2024; and Charles Leclerc won with Ferrari in 2022.
• Ferrari is the most successful constructor in Bahrain. They have seven victories, including in 2004 with Michael Schumacher, in 2007 and 2008 with Felipe Massa, in 2010 with Fernando Alonso, in 2017 and 2018 with Sebastian Vettel, and with Charles Leclerc in 2022.
• Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc scored his first pole position, his first fastest lap, and his first podium in Bahrain, all in 2019 – his first season with Ferrari. Since then, he’s taken another 25 poles, added nine more fastest laps, and racked up another 42 podiums.
• Three current drivers made their Formula One debuts at the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Nico Hulkenberg’s first F1 start was at this race in 2010 with Williams. This weekend’s event is set to be his 231st. Red Bull Racing’s Yuki Tsunoda made his F1 debut in Bahrain with AlphaTauri in 2021, and this weekend will be his 91st start. Oscar Piastri made his first grand prix start here in 2023. This weekend is set to be his 50th.
