The Housing and Urban Planning Ministry, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, has launched the official website for the Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025.
The event, to be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will be under the theme ‘Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions’ and will take place from April 23-25 at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB).
Eskan Bank general manager Abdullah Talib emphasised that the launch of the website aims to raise awareness about the conference’s objectives and key themes, and includes details about the speakers.
It also features a registration mechanism for those interested in attending the exhibition and participating in the sessions, both from within Bahrain and abroad.
In addition, the website provides the agenda for the conference sessions, topics for discussion and a list of participating entities, including real estate developers and financing banks supporting the housing finance programme.
Mr Taleb explained that the conference themes include exchanging experiences on innovative designs and construction technologies, exploring investment opportunities for the private sector in the social housing sector, integrating community needs into the implementation of housing programmes and services, and enhancing legal and regulatory frameworks. Another focus will be on optimal land use to develop sustainable urban communities.
Discussions and working papers will also be presented on successful case studies and the current state of the housing sector, including its challenges and opportunities for development.
The conference will bring together ministers and senior officials from both the public and private sectors, from Bahrain and abroad, along with a distinguished group of international speakers specialising in social housing to enrich the discussions.
The exhibition will feature more than 30 pavilions representing government entities, commercial banks and property development companies, showcasing a range of housing projects eligible for the housing finance programme.
The Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025 and its accompanying exhibition aim to enhance Bahrain’s housing strategies and policies through the presentation of innovative housing solutions and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of the social housing sector.
The event presents an ideal platform for professionals in the social housing sector to exchange experiences and explore the latest projects, with wide-ranging participation from the Gulf region, the Arab world and international stakeholders.
