The Indian Embassy marked the 75-day run-up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with a special event that brought together yoga enthusiasts from across the kingdom.
The gathering, held at the embassy complex in Seef District, marked the beginning of a series of yoga-related events and initiatives that will continue across the kingdom until June 21, the day recognised globally as International Day of Yoga.
As part of the IDY 2025 celebrations, the Indian government’s Ayush Ministry is inviting nominations for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Yoga Awards 2025. These awards aim to honour outstanding contributions and excellence in the field of yoga.
Those interested may submit their nominations through the ministry’s official website by April 15.
Yoga is an ancient and complex practice, rooted in Indian philosophy. It began as a spiritual practice but has become popular as a way of promoting physical and mental well-being.
