The Muharraq Municipal Council has called for the referral of Muharraq Municipality Director General Khalid Al Qallaf to a probe panel following the signing of a land lease contract without submitting it to the Tender and Auctions Board, according to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
The council emphasised that this action is in breach of the law, and has submitted a recommendation to the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister on the matter.
This came during the council’s meeting yesterday, chaired by Abdulaziz Al Naar.
It was attended by the Northern Municipality Director General Lamia Al Fadala.
