More than 50,000 unique visitors poured into the Formula 1 Fan Village in Adliya’s trendy Block 338 this year, making it one of the most successful editions organised by the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
Ahead of the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, which was held over the past weekend, the 10-day Fan Village welcomed fans and families to a motorsport playground where they engaged with roaming street performers, a craft village and more.
“This hugely popular fan-engagement zone was located at Block 338 in Adliya, and it was set up by BIC and Beyon Money, with Bapco Energies as a support partner,” the BIC said in a statement yesterday.
“It aimed to further build on the excitement ahead of this year’s Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, which took place over the weekend.
“Fans attending the Beyon Money BIC Fan Village were able to enjoy 10 incredible days of a wide array of family entertainment.
“With this year’s massive turnout, it further cemented its standing as a major attraction for fans, with so much in store in the heart of the kingdom’s capital, Manama.”
The event featured live music, street performances, racing simulators and family-friendly attractions.
Amongst the highlights during the fourth successive edition of the festival was a giant Scalextric mini racing slot car track emulated after the BIC Grand Prix track in Sakhir, to give fans a chance to experience some of its nail-biting turns and excitement.
Visitors of all ages also enjoyed live performances by bands and DJs, an F1 show car on display, a craft village and photo booths.
Musicians and bands including Alejandra Band, Zam Zam, Relocators, AQ Jazz, BG Harmony, The Past Masters, Enshanti and White Jazz kept visitors entertained as they explored the village.
Children and families were especially catered to, with dedicated attractions and a variety of roaming entertainers keeping young fans engaged throughout the event.
Meanwhile, motorsport enthusiasts got a chance to test their reflexes with reaction games and explore F1-themed exhibits that teased the on-track drama to come.
This year, five of the 10 F1 teams also had a presence along Block 338, with Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull and Aston Martin partnering up with local restaurants to activate their brands, and, in some cases, offer custom menus to diners and patrons.
The initiative was part of Bahrain’s strategy to promote the Grand Prix as more than just a race weekend, transforming it into a multi-week festival celebrating motorsport, culture, and entertainment, and highlighting this year’s theme, ‘The Desert Never Sleeps’.
