Al Doseri Law, in strategic partnership with GLA & Company, has announced its successful advisory role in the significant acquisition of Bahrain Financing Company Group Holdings (BFC) by Al Ansari Financial Services.
This deal, one of the most prominent and high-value financial services acquisitions in the GCC, was recently completed.
The acquisition positions Al Ansari Financial Services as the largest non-banking financial institution in the Gulf Cooperation Council in terms of branch network.
Working alongside its joint venture partners and lead counsel GLA & Co., Al Doseri Law provided expert legal counsel on all Bahraini law-related aspects of this landmark transaction.
The Al Doseri Law team was led by founding partner Saad Al Doseri and included senior associate Shooq Nimah, trainee lawyer Noor Fathalla, and paralegal Diana Ahmad.
Commenting on the successful completion, Mr Al Doseri said: “We are immensely proud to have played a crucial role in advising on this major acquisition. Our collaboration with GLA & Company highlights the strength of strategic partnerships in delivering outstanding legal services to Al Ansari Financial Services. This transaction not only demonstrates our firm’s expertise in navigating intricate financial deals but also reinforces our dedication to excellence within the legal sector.”
He added, “The successful completion of this acquisition marks a significant milestone for Bahrain and the wider Gulf region. It elevates Bahrain’s standing as a key global financial center, drawing international attention and investment. We congratulate all those involved in this remarkable achievement, which strengthens our region’s position on the global stage.”
The $200 million acquisition, finalised in April 2025, expands Al Ansari Financial Services’ presence across Bahrain, Kuwait, and India. This expansion results in a 29 per cent increase in the group’s customer base and a 60pc growth in its branch network. The integration of BFC is expected to enhance the company’s operational scale and geographical diversification, generating significant value for shareholders, customers, and employees.
