The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Asry) held a special ceremony at its headquarters in Hidd to welcome four modern tugboats and mark the beginning of its joint venture with Noatum Maritime, part of AD Ports Group.
Officials from various ministries, public entities and leading industrial firms attended the event.
Asry chief executive Ahmed Al Abri said: “We take pride in setting the stage for our new partnership with Noatum Maritime through this occasion. This collaboration will lead to the launch of Asry Marine.”
“AD Ports Group ranks among the foremost maritime groups in the world, and this partnership is set to open new doors for marine service growth within Bahrain and across the region,” Dr Al Abri added.
Asry deputy CEO Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa said: “The new tugboats feature advanced technologies that will undoubtedly support and enhance current marine services, while also enabling the introduction of new ones. This aligns with the company’s strategy focused on expansion, service diversification, and strengthening regional and global partnerships.”
