His Majesty King Hamad yesterday commended the outstanding performance of Al Khaldiya Club and Sitra Club during the final match of His Majesty the King’s Football Cup.
He commended the high spirit and skills displayed by the players, which reflect the progress of football and the broader development of sports in Bahrain, marked by numerous honourable achievements across various disciplines.
His Majesty congratulated Al Khaldiya Club and its members on winning the title. He also praised Sitra Club for their strong performance throughout the competition.
The King wished success to all national clubs and encouraged them to continue contributing to the kingdom’s sporting advancement.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa were in attendance at the match.
Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid later handed out the trophies to both Khaldiya and Sitra and congratulated them on their achievement.
