The Arab Labour Organisation (ALO) has honoured Sonya Janahi, a board member of the Bahrain Chamber and a vice president of the Employers’ Asia Group at the International Labour Organisation (ILO), for her work supporting labour issues in the Arab world.
The recognition took place at a ceremony on the sidelines of the 51st Arab Labour Conference in Egypt, the Bahrain Chamber said.
The ALO acknowledged Ms Janahi’s long-standing contributions to strengthening social partnerships and promoting the value of work in Arab society.
Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass congratulated Ms Janahi saying the honour was an achievement for Bahrain and reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to promoting labour issues regionally and globally.
